How to Cocktail: Valentine Drinks feat. Whiskeysmith

Bob and Brad are joined by Mel Maddox of Whiskeysmith to mix up three cocktails designed to pair with your favorite Valentine's Day movie! They sample Whiskeysmith's chocolate, banana, and pineapple flavored whiskeys while talking about When Harry Met Sally, Casablanca, and The Notebook.

When Harry Met Sally - “I’ll have what she’s having” - Whiskeysmith Chocolate milkshake 2 oz Whiskeysmith chocolate whiskey, 1 ounce cream/milk, 3 to 4 scoops of chocolate ice cream – top with whipped cream

  • To make place all ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth, add more ice cream if too wet, pour into glass, top with whip cream and enjoy!

Casablanca - “Here’s looking at you kid” -  1.5 oz Whiskeysmith Pineapple whiskey, .50 to 1 ounce orange juice, top with prosecco, float 4 to 5 raspberries

  • To Make pour 1.5 oz Whiskeysmtih pineapple whiskey into glass without ice, add orange juice, top with prosecco and float raspberries

The Notebook - “If you’re a bird, I’m a yellow bird” – 1.5 oz Whiskeysmith Banana whiskey, .50 oz orange juice, 1 oz pineapple juice, 1 oz grenadine, 1/4 tsp or 1 whole star anise, ¼ tsp ground or 1 whole stick cinnamon

  • To Make place star anise in bottom of shake and muddle into small pieces if using whole spice, break up the stick of cinnamon and muddle as well. Add grenadine, muddle again for about 10 seconds, add orange juice and pineapple juice, add Whiskeysmith pineapple. Add ice and shake for 20 seconds. Strain into glass, add ice and garnish with the mint. If possible double strain through a tea strainer.
